We love all cheeses equally, but there’s something special about raclette, the meltiest and sexiest of all the cheeses. Like fondue, raclette is a typical après-ski meal invented in Switzerland. Traditionally, the cheese is held up to a fire to get it nice and melty and then scraped from the half-wheel atop other delicious foods like potatoes and cornichons.
We may not be in the Swiss Alps, but we think it’s time to give raclette its due respect, so we’re throwing a raclette party on the patio with a full wheel of cheese just waiting to be scraped onto your plate.
Plate Incudes: Potatoes with caramelized onions, frisée, cornichons and baguette slices for $18.00 ($22 with Salami).
And we’ll have some wine specials to add to the fun.
SUNDAY We’ll be serving mulled wine, or, as the German/Austrians call it, “Glühwein.” And if you’re Swedish, you can call it “Glogg.”
MONDAY Starting at 5pm, Broadbent Imports (importers of June's Rosé) will be visiting to pair the perfect Thanksgiving wines to accompany the Raclette plate. Enjoy a taste, on us! Click here for more info.
While you’re here, make sure to stock up on all of your Thanksgiving wines.
Please join Montrose Cheese and Wine and Broadbent Selections for a stellar lineup of wines from around the world that pair beautifully with the holiday festivities.
Broadbent Selections is a national importer of family-owned wineries founded in 1996 by Bartholomew Broadbent, son of famous wine critic and mentor Michael Broadbent. Each wine is selected for out-performing its peers and its world-class quality.
